Ruairi Davies
Qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach
I graduated from the University of Bath in 2019 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Science.
During my degree I spent 1 year as a Sport Science intern at the New South Wales Institute of Sport in Sydney, Australia, working across multiple departments and sports. I specifically assisted the Winter sports programme- ski and snowboard teams in preparation for the 2018 Winter Olympics, with countless hours spent coaching in the gym.
This is where I really found my passion for strength and conditioning. I gained multiple qualifications during this internship and my time at Bath including Heat and Hypoxic training Level 1, Mental health in Sport: Awareness and Action, BWLA Level 1 award in coaching weightlifting and ASCA Level 1.
In late 2019 I completed a short internship with Chile Rugby and was subsequently offered an assistant role with both Chile’s national men’s sides as well as with Selknam, Chile’s first professional Rugby team competing in a newly formed South American League.
However, a virus came along, which you may have heard about, becoming more prevalent around the world leaving me no option but to return home swiftly.
My sporting background includes Football and later on primarily Rugby. I love adventurous activities and getting out on my road bike whenever I can.
Whether you’re a serious sporting competitor or looking to improve your general health and wellbeing, I look forward to working with you!
